Who are Cosmo and Danny?
In the Lore, Cosmo and Danny are spirits who took on the form of the two cartoon characters for emotional support and guidance. They came to Marzy knowing that she would take the characters and alt their designs and interpretations to her liking. While they do have actual names they let Marzy call them Cosmo and Danny because they know it makes her happy. Since then, Cosmo and Danny take advantage of the character's images and symbolism to comfort and guide Marzy throughout her life.
Cosmo's design is inspired by the Mesoamerican deity Quetzalcoatl. He is a solar and celestial entity. Cosmo is associated with the star and represents faith, hope, and love. He makes sure Marzy never gives up and doesn't lose hope.
Danny's design is inspired by another Mesoamerican Deity Camazotz. He is a lunar and chthonic entity. Danny is associated with the diamond and represents protection, guidance, and clarity. He makes sure Marzy stays on the right path and prevent her from going on the uneccessary side quests of life. If she gets lost, he'll make sure she finds her way.
Who is Marzy?
Marzy is a God of Destruction and an artist. Marzy was traumatized at a very young age. Childhood was rough and was filled with emtional, mental, and physical abuse. She was extremely depressed and getting a concussion didn't make it any better. After hitting her head, is when Cosmo came to her convncing her soul to not give out. Then later Danny Came giving her protection and comfort. Since then both Cosmo and Danny have been the ultimate guides and family. Cosmo being her husband and Danny her Lieutenant.
Marzy has two forms she likes to switch back and forth from
Her human form (named Maru or Marucoatl) is a more personal form of hers. She uses this form when she's not trying to look good for the public eye and unwinds.
Her demon form, called Marzy Dazzle,is basically a stage look and represents who she is on the inside
The "coatl" in Marucoatl, is Maru's way of taking on the last name of her husband Cosmocoatl. The t and l at the end are silent
How does Chance fit in all of this?
Chance is more than just an OC. He's Marzy's shadow. Marzy projected so much of her self into Chance that he became real. Unfortunately, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. Marzy had a resentment toward Chance because he was the embodiment of everything she hated about herself but Chance was the only one who could help her with her self worth. Marzy came to realize that hating Chance meant hating herself and that Chance was merely a product of her own creation. After making an efort to connect with Chance and show love and compassion to him, she finally sees the value in herself and her work. Thus rekindling that self confidence and connection.
After reconcilation with Chance, they all became a family.
