Invincible S4 e4

Okay for realsies this time, I had to let what I just witnessed last night sink in and while all of the blood and guts were slowly fading away, my brain slowly shifted focus to Nolan.

This is where Nonlan faces the consquences of his actions and Mark DID bring up a good point when it came to Nolan wanting to apologize to Debby and everyone else. Was the apology for them? or for him? One of the things I took from this episode is that when you fuck up and fuck up REALLLY bad, like thousands of dead people bad. You can't just say sorry. Likewise, when you call your wife a pet, leave, and have another baby with another alien woman, "sorry" ain't it and I'm hoping Nonlan realizes that there are consequences to your actions that can't just be made up with "sorry". This is why I was on bluesky today where I said, that acknowledging what you did was wrong is better but even then it's up to you and the people around you to hold you accountable. By that I mean, actions speak louder than words.

But I also want to point out this scene which really emphasises Nolans lack of awareness that people are AFRAID of him. When you do something that terrible you can't just come back be chums again because people are just uncomfortable with you and may not forgive you. We can see just how scared Auther is after Nolan left.

I'm hoping that Nolan gets the message and learns from all of this realizing that sometimes people will never forgiove you or want you back in there life. Tbh I just wanna give a kudos to Debbie for standing up to him. She really didn't deserve any of it but I am glad she found someone more down to earth. Now I don't know what's gonna happen next but I'm hoping they all learn to come to terms and be at peace with all of it.

Also I found the comic page of that scene and CHRSIT ALL MIGHTY.

Tw: Blood, guts, gore

Anyway, that's all for this blog, if I have more thoughts on this episode I will definitely post but for now I will see you all later.
